Learning from Home this Week
Dear Parents,
We hope that you and your family are well during this time that we are away from school. We also hope that this website is helpful in supporting your child's learning during our time apart. Please know that we are here for you and that you can reach out to us with any questions you may have. We also recognize that many of you are working from home while supporting your child. Our hope is that most things can be done independently by your child. A few tips: *The more routine and structure in the learning activities, the better. Make it your own and find spaces and times that work best for you and your child to do these activities. *Mornings are generally the best time for the heavier mental tasks. Starting the day with ELA and math would likely work out the best. *Take breaks when you see fit, and don't try to do all of this in one sitting! Figure out what works for you and your child the best and try to stick to that. This isn't your first round of this, so we're sure you already have some tricks up your sleeve to pull out! Also, if your child is unwell, please let them rest. We will be here for them when they are healthy and ready to learn. We will all do the best we can! If additional emotional supports are needed, please reach out to our school counsellor.
